PHOTOS: Irish Architecture & the Blarney Stone

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we've put together a gallery of some of the Emerald Isle's most incredible architectural masterpieces - including Blarney Castle, home of the famous Blarney Stone.  Enjoy!

Connolly's Folly - County Kildare, Ireland

St. Mary's Cathedral - Limerick, Ireland (built c. 1194)

Ashford Castle - Ireland

The Trinity Library - Dublin, Ireland

Johnstown Castle - Wexford, Ireland

Blarney Castle - Blarney, Ireland.
The famous "Blarney Stone" is located here.

Spectators can be seen waiting in line to kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle.
Legend has it that the kisser of the stone will be
endowed with the "gift of gab" or "great skill at flattery".
